There are three jobs that I would consider pursuing if money didn’t matter and they would be an author, teacher, or therapist.

I would love and have always wanted to become an author. I have had a passion for writing since I was a young girl. Writing has always been an outlet, an escape, and a validating purpose for me to utilize my voice. I love to write academically, but especially creatively. I love to write and read poetry, short fictional stories, and young adult literature. Young adult literature and poetry are two genres I would love to publish book within. My love and passion for writing are what lead me to pursue my BA in English Literature. However, I in recent years have strayed so far from writing that I fear my strong skills, knowledge, and ability to professionally write are or have diminished in some form or fashion. I would like to think or believe that the strong ability and talent that I had for writing since I was a young girl, receiving my BA in English Literature have led me to a lifelong ability for a strength on some level for writing.

Teaching is a beautiful profession. I spent a few years in the educational world as a substitute teacher and it is a job I would pursue if money did not matter, but it also comes with a great deal of stress from multisets that range from lesson planning, district, state, or governmental involvement, parental involvement, lack of support, and the strong role it can play on your mental health. However, I love being able to educate and share my passion for literature and writing with the younger generation to carry it in a life-connecting, academic, and resourceful way for emotional health beneficial way.

I would consider becoming a therapist. Therapy is a great resourceful tool to utilize regardless of your stage in life. It is a great way to have someone to talk, vent, and share experiences with to help pursue wherever it is you are trying to reach in your life on a mental health point. I am in therapy myself and it has been a very vulnerable, excruciating, and hard experience, but the reward of processing, healing, and navigating move forward make it worth it. I would love to be able to be able to help someone with their mental health being able to listen in an unbiased and nonjudgmental standpoint. I also would love to be able to provide someone advice, suggestions, resources, tools, and a safe space for them to help themselves, break through traumas, addictions, and struggles.

I love to help people and being strong within a connecting and emotionally charged field. I would pursue each of these jobs if money did not matter.
