Hello Viewer. My name is Brittney.

I am a writer who is looking for a place to publish. I have been interested in writing since I was eight. I have a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in Creative Writing. The past few years I have been doing a lot of searching within myself. I have been learning to embrace who I am and work on the things I am not fond of about myself. I have learned through this very curvy journey that I must learn to love myself. And by all of myself, I mean including the parts of myself I do not like as well. I must admit my faults, and I do. I do my best to handle the truth no matter how brutal, but I always remember that I a good person. I mean well, but I am blunt.

I love meeting new people and expressing myself, my creativity, and passion for this craft through my writing. I love to write poetry, and I’ve recently found a liking for fictional short stories. I want to write in different genres or styles to explore my writing. I journal for cathartic purposes and exploration of my writing abilities. Journaling is how I began and developed this passion for writing. It is also how a young eight-year-old girl was able to find a safe space to release and breathe after unleashing her most personal thoughts. I was beyond unaware of the whole I would feel and where my writing would take me since that day, but since then I have been able to find my voice and professionalism for my writing.
